# How To Create Custom Template In Submagic

| Custom templates allow you to customize and create your own UNIQUE captions

We've made a video to help you create your own custom template!

| By creating a custom template, you are able to customize the default themes (add shadows, change the number of words per line, change font etc) 🧡

###### Here’s how you can create a CUSTOM theme/template in Submagic:

**Step 1:** In the **STYLE** section, select a theme you like the animation of, and click on **EDIT**

**Step 2:** Re-name your template to your preference and make changes to it

**Step 3:** Once you are satisfied with the changes, you can click on **CREATE THEME** to save it to your account

**Step 4:** Select your custom theme if it is not selected automatically
